In July 2009 the Canadian Space Agency organized a fieldwork session in the Canadian High Arctic for the Agenzia Spaziale Italiana and Ibn Battuta Centre/IRSPS. During the field trip we visited several Martian-like environments and geological settings.

We used two bases in Axel Heiberg Island and Ellesmere Island to investigate glaciers and the associated environments, arctic shoreline, delta environments and sites for testing instruments.
